Fabulous sculpture in bronze with dark and shades of green sheens. Lambeaux revisits the classical theme and makes it his own. Beautiful movement of the female body, smooth against a raw rock. Signed on the terrace. Marked for the founder “la Compagnie des Bronzes de Bruxelles”.

Lit: Lambeaux created another model of this same lady lying down with an angle whispering at her ear. 

The most iconic work of Lambeaux is the “Brabo fountain” located on the Grand Place of Antwerp since 1887. His masterpiece created in 1899 “Human passions” is a monumental bas-relief white marble (6m x 11m) set in the Horta pavilion of the Cinquantenaire Park in Brussels. Many works of Lambeaux are preserved in the museums of Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Leuven, Charleroi, Orsay (Paris). Other sculptures are exhibited in the communal houses of Saint-Gilles, Schaerbeek, Louvain, Dinant & Dendermonde. The artist also produced works to decorate the Antwerp’s Zoo, the Parc de Mariemont, the Antwerp Cathedral, the main square of Tienen, the Square Ambiorix in Brussels, the Cinquantenaire arcades, the Boverie park in Liège and Petit Sablon Park in Brussels.
