Rare two dails complication clock, Verlinden in Paris

One-of-a-kind complication clock signed by Paris-based clockmaker Junior Verlinden. This clock is signed Verlinden and the dials are by Jean Coteau. Verlinden was a Belgian watchmaker based in Paris, but he was above all an experimenter. Here, he created two movements equipped with two different escapement. One was a more precise pin escapement, the other a simple lever escapement. By linking them together, Verlinden demonstrates that they become perfectly synchronized, as evidenced by the two seconds needles in the centre of the dials. This is interesting research into the phenomenon of ‘feed back’, aspects of which play an important role in modern electronics. The clock has been completely overhauled and cleaned by our master clockmaker and is in perfect working order. It is an aesthetic and mechanical masterpiece, a rare find on the market.
