Splendid pair of large porcelain plaques painted with still-lifes of flowers and fruit. Rich colours. Signed and dated 1866 lower left. Original frames. Great condition.

French school of the second part of the 19th century.

Lit: Ernest Mariotte is a French painter on porcelain born in Paris. He is the pupil of M. Ange-Louis-Guillaume Lesourd-Beauregard (1800-1885), fantastic still life painter. He exhibits at the Salon in 1864, 1865, 1867 and 1870.
