A venetian polychrome and gilt wooden blackamoor torchere figure standing on a octagonal faux marble plinth. Elaborated patterns on the moor rich costume, hand carved, painted and gilded. Electrified. Beautiful testimony of the Venetian tradition.

Lit: One of the most famous sculptors of Blackamoor art was Andrea Brustolon (1662 – 1732) who was famous for making ebonized Blackamoor gueridons.
