Oil on panel depicting a sunrise over fishermen coming back to shore on calm water. Beautiful light and detailed landscape. Contrasting trees, houses and figures on the forefront of a rising sun. Pleasant work, typical of the Northern school of painting.
Signed lower right and dated 1850. The panel was well laminated in the back to give support. Cleaned and revarnished by a professional.
