A view of what is probably the Seine river. Bright and calm scene. Signed lower right. Stamp on the back reading “Sennelier, 3 quai voltaire à Paris, depuis 1887”, a shop regarded as the temple of fine art, opposite the Louvre. The greatest artists of the time came here to stock up on supplies. This is a mark of the quality of the raw materials and puts this little-known artist in a special light.
