Portrait of an oriental dancer, titled on the back by the artist “la Bohémienne”. She is resting her chin on her folded hands, looking away. Dressed with the oriental jewelry. Oil on panel, signed above the left shoulder of the lady. Dedicated on the back, painted in New York and sold there. Modern frame.
Size: H 47cm x W 37cm – H 72cm x W 63cm
Belgian school of the late 19th century.
Lit: Joseph Berlin was an artist active in Brussels. Portraitist. Exhibited at the Antwerp Salon in 1882 a work called “portrait of a Spanish girl”.
